Stearic Acid

Derived from plant-based oils, Stearic Acid functions as both a consistency agent and a co-emulsifier. It is commonly incorporated into creams, lotions, body butters, soaps, shaving products, and cosmetic bases where structure and stability are desired. In soapmaking, it contributes to hardness and long-lasting bars.

DIRECTIONS & SUGGESTED USAGE

Stearic Acid can be incorporated into a wide range of cosmetic and personal care formulations:

• Creams & Lotions: 1 – 5% to thicken and stabilize emulsions

• Body Butters & Balms: 1 – 10% for structure and firmness

• Soaps & Shaving Products: 3 – 15% for hardness and creamy lather

• Cosmetic Bases & Sticks: 1 – 10% to improve stability and texture

Melt fully in the oil phase before blending with other ingredients.
